I am looking for a movie clip from any movie (preferably one that is still available) where kids pick teams and leave one kid off, or pick one kid last, or fight over who has to take this kid on their team -- you get the point.

Why I need it: We are doing a rotation on the anointing of David (God looks in the heart) and will start our movie/computer lesson with that clip, discuss the Bible story, and move into a computer projected game of Bible Baseball using questions about David.

Peace,
Lisa

"The Bad News Bears"? (Original, not the new one). Maybe "The Sandlot"? "The Mighty Ducks"? (Ok, I know that's hockey, but I thought it might work). Or, "A League of Their Own" - the tryouts scene might work.

Hope this helps!

Hi Lisa,

Another scene from "A League of Their Own" that would/might work is when the scout, Kit and Dottie stop in Colorado to see a hitter. The hitter is good, but she's not pretty and the scout doesn't want to take her because of that.

Good luck!

The sandlot has a scene where the town kids don't want the new kid in town to play baseball with them.

What about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? After all, "they never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games". Then there is the whole section with the Land of Mis-Fit toys.

Thanks for the ideas. I think I'll use Rudolph in part because I already own it. (Saving $$$ is always good in the church) It's not baseball, but it will get the point across, and since this will be a November rotation, it will get us all thinking about Christmas.

Peace,
Lisa
